History 202- 6 Credit Recommendations
This course requires knowledge of Jewish history from the establishment of Yavneh as a Torah center in the times of the Tannaim (just after the destruction of the Second Beis HaMikdash), until the end of the period of the Geonim (70 CE to 1040 CE). This period includes the entire period of the Amoraim and the writing and completion of the Talmud.

This course requires knowledge of Jewish history from the establishment of Yavneh as a Torah center in the times of the Tannaim, until the end of the period of the Amoraim and the completion of the Talmud (70 CE to 600 CE).
Jewish History Elem II

This course requires knowledge of Jewish history from the establishment of Yavneh as a Torah center in the times of the Tannaim, until the end of the era of the Tannaim and the establishment of Torah in Babylonia by the early Amoraim (70 CE to 240 CE).

This exam requires basic knowledge of Jewish history from the destruction of the second Beis Hamikdash until the establishment of the State of Israel (70 CE to 1948).
Although memorization of exact dates is not required, students should be able to place key historical events in chronological order. Students will be
asked to identify relevant places on maps.
