This course requires knowledge of the laws related to lashon hara and rechillus at an advanced level, covering in detail topics such as speaking and listening to lashon hara for a constructive purpose.

Students will be expected to write a halachic analysis of a realistic scenario involving lashon hara. Additionally, students will be expected to have a broad knowledge of ethical and inspirational ideas related to the mitzvah of shmiras halashon and be prepared to discuss topics such as positive and negative middos that are related to lashon hara, and the connection between speech and avodas Hashem.
